The Pilgrim

The Camino Francés is more than a trail; it’s a journey of transformation, an 800km pilgrimage stretching from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port in France to the sacred city of Santiago de Compostela in Spain. In a season shadowed by grief, I felt a call to walk for 34 days, moving step by step through valleys, forests, and mountain passes. Along the way, I encountered moments of stillness, glimpses of light, and quiet encounters with the sacred woven into every corner of the landscape. Each step became both a surrender and an offering, a meditation on loss, presence, and the invisible threads of grace that hold us. The journey revealed the rhythm of patience, the beauty of impermanence, and a connection to something far greater than myself, an intimate brush with God.

PSALM 84:5-7
Blessed are those whose strength is in you,
whose hearts are set on pilgrimage,
passing through the valleys of weeping,
turning each step into praise,
and arriving with joy in the courts of the Lord.
